It's cheap. Take that as a complement or an insult. I purchased it because I said "Ah what the heck, it's cheap, I'll give it a try." The first attempt to spiralize a cucumber resulted in the handle being broken off. Additionally, it's a strange design. There is no gear to push/pull the fruit/veggie into the blade, which means that you need one hand to hold the machine (no, the suction cups don't hold it down sufficiently), another hand to turn the crank (two hands once the handle breaks off), and a third/fourth hand to push the fruit/veggie into the blade. it's a cute toy, but you'll need a better device if you want to cut spirals from your fruit/veggies.

This one isn't as tough as a similar more expensive model I've found online. The blade designs are not as good as well. There is a reason why this one isn't priced as much as others.

I haven't had much of a chance to try it out on anything other than zucchini. The large blade is the one that works great. I am looking forward to finding innovative recipes to get more veggies into our diet. If you are trying out gluten free ideas, this one is fun! I found that if you make Zoodles and put them in the microwave (or steam) until "crispy done", it serves as a very good substitute for regular pasta noodles. Since you are covering them up with delicious sauce and parmesan, you get the taste of having "pasta" without noodles!

Love this spiralizer. It does the job quickly and easily. It's super easy to clean and store. I just had a little trouble with it sliding. Make sure your counter is dry.
