Whether the job at hand involves cutting, piercing, or slashing, the Kershaw Kuro is capable. These knives are in the tactical folder category. They are folding pocket knives with blades made of 8C13MoV steel with a black oxide coating. This type of steel is easy to sharpen and holds its edge well. The blades on these knives are 3.1 inches long and .53 inches thick. The knives have a closed length of 4.1 inches and an overall length of 7.25 inches. They weigh 3.2 ounces. The blades on these Kershaw knives are hollow ground, which helps them maintain their sharpness. They have a belly-less edge that lets them slash smoothly and cleanly. The fact that they are Tanto-style blades gives them a few characteristic qualities. They have two primary grinds: one along the edge and one at the tip. This style also features partial serration along the blade, with the serrations being the two-step type for maximum cutting performance. Excellent brand my second one easy to open and close please read instructions on use and care. Life time sharpening by Kershaw please read warranty for details. Radar sharpe with serrated edge. Highly recommend

Very cool knife. although I thought it was a grayish shade, the intense black is great. also very sharp. it wasn't long that I needed a band aid,( tho a small one). I've been carrying Kershaw for almost 20 yrs daily, and will continue to carry. Only thing I would improve is the finger tab to open it. It should be grooved for better grip, or the hilt at the back, shaved down some. thx

Beautiful, Quality Pocket Knife
I broke the tip off this same knife and Kershaw repaired it, with new very sharp blade, and I only paid postage. They mean life-time warranty. I only bought this new (same model) knife because I lost my first one in South Dakota Black Hills.
