You can ergonomically push on the blade extender, and with a flick of the wrist, as you pull out of or off of your pants pocket. All in one move. Saves having to retrieve the knife out of pocket Then pushing the auto button when you think knife has cleared the pocket enough. I messed the pocket clip up on my knife by catching it on things.There comes a time when taking it off and bending it back will break it. I contacted the SOG company about the clip and they sent me another one free of charge.No hassles.
