We have a person with autism who gets into the refrigerator and causes a mess. The fridge is a "door-in-door" so we "locked" the main doors but, the person still has access to "her items" on the shelves via the third door. The only problem with this item is that an adult is stronger than a child so the adhesive tape on the latch isn't strong enough to hold and the latch pulls off. I reinforced them with a couple screws into the refrigerator case and it now serves the purpose well.

I was so wrapped badly I can’t even open it and I need scissors at the end I bought in Home Depot not trusting it might be useless to locker without possibility it can be locked on it. I am absolutely correct. It’s a useless product. It’s too cheap I can’t even return it. Very disappointed

I didn't even install it because I don't see how it can work. Should have looked at it closer before buying it. It can latch OK, but there is no way to unlatch it since the part is not flexible. And instructions are really confusing. I bought a different item.
