Overall, the product is great!! No leaks, I filled it with 3 gallons of gasoline, shook it, no leak around the seal or spout. Stored it for 2 weeks on it's side, righted it, no leakage. When on it's side, you can hear the air glugging as the fuel fills the spout. Relieved the pressure, no liquid fuel in the spout. The downside is the spout supplied with this 5 gallon unit is the same size as the one supplied with the 2 gallon 6 oz. unit. If you are fueling a vehicle with a recessed gas cap (e.g. behind a door), you can't get the can tilted enough to get all the gas out. I had to use a long funnel, then manually hold the spout in so it's open and empty the can that way.

The can itself is first class. But the spout really stinks.I mean it's really bad. It's poorly designed and has zero flexibility. Plus you have to be a contortionist and really strong fingers to get it to unlock each pour. When you do get it unlocked the gas comes out in a very tiny stream. I know some safety nut (probably the government) thought this was a good idea. but it's not. I put one of my old flex spouts on and threw the new one in the trash. You can buy replacement flex spouts online and I would highly recommend that if you buy one of these.

I miss the old method of having a separate cap for venting. I like the fact that it is easier to lift and hold the can while pouring gas into a gas tank or into a smaller gas can. I have yet to actually use and pour from this container. I can only hope that this EPA mandated design will not be cumbersome for my aged hands to manage.
