Love the way that Dr A looks at eating and our health and how they go hand in hand. I can change how I look at food & I can live without the inflammation pain that came along with eating sugar. It’s a win win all around.

Excellent technical reference on "why" and "what to do about it" of weight
I originally read this book as a result of enrolling in Dr. Anderson's program, and bought this copy for my mother for Christmas at her request. I have a girlfriend I've known since third grade (I'm now 57) who has had a lifelong struggle with obesity. She began posting Facebook photos looking much more slender and gorgeous. So happy for her, I originally signed up to drop 40 lbs I needed to loose, and to do some "girlfriend bonding" with my friend. However, I also have both medical and advanced accounting training as a CPA, and found the science described in Dr. A's text enlightening and informative. I continue to maintain my weight now at a healthy number, and I find I am passing along this book to other medical professionals in my community as they learn the proper medical solution to the "why" and "what to do about it" of gaining and properly losing weight. My girlfriend continues to be one of Dr. A's weight loss coaches, she is, understandably, sympathetic and understanding to the small daily victories of recovering from obesity.Read full review
