Turns brick hard sugar into soft sugar
I'm not much of a baker or a cook but sometimes recipes calls for brown sugar. I always keep this on hand but a few months ago I began avoiding recipes that called for brown sugar because mines was brick hard. Whenever I would muster up the courage to use this I would have to cut chunks out of this sugar, put a few drops of water on it and place it in the microwave in 30 second increments. This was a tedious process because it was hard to pinpoint whether I had enough or not so I just avoided the use of brown sugar altogether. I have four older sisters and the eldest of the eldest was telling me about a recipe that involved brown sugar and I told I would have to pass on that because of my brown sugar dilemma. She told me to place either a piece of bread or a slice of an apple in the sugar ... I'm not much of a baker or a cook but sometimes recipes calls for brown sugar. I forgot I had placed this in the sugar and in a few days later I went to check and the brown sugar was like I purchased it. Soft and ready to use. I highly highly recommend this bear. It made a year old brick hard bag of sugar soft and usable again.

This was smaller than I imagined it from the photo and the listing didn't give dimensions. Doesn't matter. It works well as intended. So cute because it reminds me of my granddaughter, who loves teddy bears and she loves to cook/bake with me. This will be one more reason to smile when she's in my kitchen.
