Nickel wraps over steel hex core, string to string they are bright and balanced in feel and tone. I like the EB Slinky 50-105 for down tuning a 4 string bass a half step. They don't feel floppy, they intonate properly and are consistent in great quality. They sound warm and shiny when new then mellow evenly over a long time of use. Boil them and get a couple more gigs out of them.

I have tried many brands over the years, I keep coming back to the slinky bass nickel wound strings. Great out of the pouch, not too bright, just the right amount of zing. Great feel and tension. A great working musicians strings. A great value!

Been using EB strings ever since I first began playing back in 1968, have tried all of the others along the way but I always go back to EB. These strings played very resonsively to both finger and pick playing. Awesome tone, catching great harmonics with them. Definitely a step (a flight of steps is more like it) up from the factory strings.

I’ve been playing guitar for more than 10 years but this is my first bass guitar. I’ve tried other people’s basses and usually my fingers feel sore but so far these aren’t bothering me but that could be that my technique is improving

I used these strings on my lastest Highline Guitars custom bass guitar build. They, sound great, stay in tune and last forever.
