You Want This. You Need This.

If you only get one effects pedal for bass, make it this one. With the Micro Pog, you can set it to play an octave lower or higher—or both at the same time. Add the normal, dry bass sound and you have three tones. This baby can boom! (You might need a bigger amp to handle the super low notes.). You can also mix and vary the tones for infinite sounds—and it’s easy to set up. And a good size for a foot pedal. (You don’t need ballet slippers to punch it…)

  • Great Pedal!!!!!

This really is a simple pedal and they couldn’t have made it easier to use. You simply adjust the three level knobs depending on what type of effect you’re after and that’s it. The pedal has a nice strong chassis and the three knobs feel very secure. I don’t feel like this one is going to cause any problems even after years of abuse. You will love it.

  • Fills the gap

I was looking for a pedal to give me a convincing 12 string sound. When I received it at my office I plugged it in, as any responsible guitarist would do even while at work. One of the employees thought for sure i had a 12 string, so there you go. The band I'm working with has added some Byrds tunes to our covers as well as Kicks by Paul Revere and the Raiders. The pedal is just right for my board and handles it's assignment well. Only 3 knobs, so even I can set it with no worries as to what this or that does. Just set it to your tastes and roll with it. I have the dry signal and octave up set at 12:00 and the sub octave on zero because I'm using it to cover 12 string parts. However, it gets a nice church organ sound by adding some suboctave to the blend, especially with a little ...

  • Yes, very cool effect.

I bought a micro POG a month ago after watching a few YouTube demos. The reviews are really accurate, the POG's are a very distinctiv, snappy, more real than real in a way. Go well with time based effects too, EG Boss RE20. I think they require a bit more finesse than most people admit, and that's both for how and where to use them. With different amps, and guitars you will have different voicing and outcomes. I like them for highlights rather than just switch and leave on. Try using in the verses & bridges of Stairway to Heaven and you'll see how it can be used for highlighting. Then off for the rest, really cool! Much better for picking than strumming. I can't compare to others, it's the only octave unit I've tried, but very happy with it. I hope this is ...

  • Electro-Harmonix Micro POG

I'm a bass player. For quite a while I've been pricing 8 string(4 string octave doubled) basses on Ebay, but was always hesitant. I will typically spend a little more for quality, and was not sure if this type of investment would be what I was really looking for. After discovering the Micro POG, and watching several Youtube demos, I realized that I could have the sound of an 8 string bass, for a fraction of the price, but with total control of the added upper octave. An added bonus is the lower octave, which adds a sub octave to your sound. When adding both the upper and lower octaves it emulates a 12 string bass. The operation of the pedal is a straight forward "No-Brainer". With the blending controls I'm able to quickly dial in the perfect sound for any style of ...
