Looks great out of the box. Neck is too wide for my small fingers. Thin neck and good for shredding . Locking trem works good and stays in tune after set up. Pick ups are not very good, thin sounding without distortion pedal. String height was very high, Frets are jagged on the ends. I'm used to low action. It is an all right guitar for the money but hard for me to play out of the box. Played for a few hours and the maple neck has oxidation from the strings making it look old and dirty. I buy a few guitars and this had too many things going against it. Usually one or two issues with a guitar that can be fixed easily. They don't make them like they used to

Whooaaaa. I am impressed. I've been playing 32 years now, and on everything from Les Paul Customs -owned 4 or 5 of those... USA Jacksons... ESP.... Dean....Kramer... -I know good guitars. This $400 Ibanez RG470 blew me away. Its a shedders guitar with a very flat, fast neck. Its a blast to play on. A month prior I bought an Ibanez Prestige -a $1500 model. I have the two sitting side by side and enjoy playing on both with indifference. To me this RG470 plays just like the original RG550's from the 1980's. So, yeah... this is a great guitar for any level player, and a total bargain at $400.
