About this product

Product Information

Writer-director Quentin Tarantino revisits the seedier side of Los Angeles--following 1992's RESERVOIR DOGS--with this funny, violent, tongue-in-cheek tribute to the less "classic" side of filmmaking--the potboilers and capers, the Blaxploitation flicks and gangster movies. The film interweaves three tales, told in a circular, fractured manner, which only fully connect by the time the final credits roll. The first story focuses on Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson), two hit men on duty for "the big boss," Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames), whose gorgeous wife, Mia (Uma Thurman), takes a liking to Vincent. In the second, a down-and-out pugilist (Bruce Willis), who is ordered to take a fall, decides that there's more money in doing the opposite. The final chapter follows a pair of lovers (Amanda Plummer and Tim Roth) as they prepare to hold up a diner.Tarantino wears his cinematic influences proudly, bringing them to life in the ironically hip, self-referential 1990s. The result is a work that changed the face of independent cinema forever, making it a legitimate player in the Hollywood mainstream. The all-star cast steps into their roles with obvious glee, and Tarantino once again uses his soundtrack to up the "cool" ante yet another notch, making for a motion picture event that has worked its way into our national vernacular.

    Crazy Movie

Pulp Fiction is kind of a weird movie that sometimes doesn't make a whole lot of sense but it is fairly entertaining. Not sure people can actually be this crazy as the characters are here but who knows. I would rate it about a 6 or 7 out of 10.

  • PULP FICTION (DVD, 2002)

This film is a compilation of vignettes all laced together into the fabric of a couple of days in Los Angeles. This is the seedy side of life, Junkies, fixed fights, loan sharking, perversion, and retribution. This is a product of the twisted but brilliant mind of Quentin Tarantino, and is told in a up front personal way. Stars include John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Ving Rhames, and Uma Thurman. This movie follows the daily exploits of two low-level hit men (Travolta and Jackson) as they go about the everyday tasks of handling business for their boss, Ving Rhames. An excellent soundtrack accompanies this film and several award nominations followed.

  • Pulp Fiction on DVD

ok , before i write my little review. My wife is behind me at the computer and wants me to mention the dancing scene when john travolta takes the trophy at Jack Rabbit Slim's. Great movie, a typical quentin tarantino movie . John Travolta and Samuel Jackson are clean cut hit men in this drug abused action packed comedy flick.....ok maybe drama. JT looks so cool with his long hair and bruce willis as a scape goat boxer, they collide in this undergound world of bible verses, murder and big kahuna burgers. In the end, all worlds collide and two people lives are spared for the sake of 1 mans coversion from hit man to his brothers keeper. Hope that helps, if that sounds weird its because the movie is weird!

  • THE movie event of the 90s!

Let's face it; Quentin Tarantino's masterpiece "Pulp Fiction" still remains a major cornerstone in the world of independent filmmaking, and a landmark in recent, modern cinema. Set during a 3-day time period in Los Angeles, the many varied stories, plotlines and characters unfold before you in a way that no other movie ever has before. Tarantino has assembled a multi-talented cast that features John Travolta as Vincent Vega and Samuel L. Jackson as Jules Winfield, 2 hitmen working for Marcellus Wallace, played by Ving Rhames. Also in the cast are Tim Roth and Amanda Plummer as would-be robbers, attempting to hold up a diner; Eric Stoltz as a drug dealer and Rosanna Arquette as his wife; Maria DeMediros as Fabienne; Christopher Walken appearing in a flashback sequence as a military man ...
