If you have it, you need this.
Nothing else will do for certain ‘vintage’ Vicks humidifier models. You will have a hard time getting them anywhere else than eBay. Prevents buildup of white film or mineral deposits in the room. These will eventually need to be replaced even if you use deionized water from your lab supply as I do. Buy them now while you can still find them or end up buying a new humidifier later.

The cartridge drops into and fits easily in my cool mist vaporizer. It prevents white dust from being sprayed with the water vapor, exactly as advertised. The instructions on the box say they are supposed to be replaced after 2-3 weeks of continuous use. I use the vaporizer only on cold dry nights, a maximum of 3 weeks per month, December-March.. Finally found the correct filter I needed.
This filter is the right one for my unit and it does the job intended. Now, I can use my decades old sonic vaporizer again without worry.

Stinky odor produce by these filters
These leave a terrible odor after the mist from the filter. I tried two, and both leave the same stinky odor and they are not like the original in size about a third smaller. Recommend not buy these!

It's a filter, what's to like ? Gave it 3 start because it's just a filter, they are a little pricey , but company sent if fast and the description was just great. Correct filter and fits my unit.
