Big Clean Sound
The Yamaha Mellophones were the best ones when I marched in high school and college band. Other makers would distort or get "twangy" at full volume and the Yamahas by far kept a clean crisp sound even at full volume and in all kinds of temperatures and weather. When it was time to compete for first chair--it was no contest. Those who had the Yamahas got the best ratings and those stuck with the Bach horns ended up in the back row.The Yamaha Mellophones were the best ones when I marched in high school and college band.
