This was a gift for my daughter and my grandchildren. This was and still is today, a wonderful family show that is very entertaining and instills the best lessons in life, for all of us to learn and practice. The background narration is warm and compelling as are each of the characters portrayed by this assembly of talented actors. The stories are interesting and captivating, from one episode to the next, with writing that delivers an important life message every time. We enjoyed "The Waltons" when I was a young boy and again when my children were at a young age, so now it's time for our beautiful grandchildren to enjoy this great story that takes place on "Walton's Mountain", during a time when life was simpler and family meant so much.This was a gift for my daughter and my grandchildren. Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuite...No sex or foul langauage, well there's the occassional(sp?) "damn" I'm from the south and grew up on the Waltons..my Father dressed like Daddy John Walton...watching this show brings back some great memories some sad, some funny, but always great...I use to pretend Grand Pa Walton was my Grand Pa..my Grandfather on my Mothers side died before I was born..my Grandfather on my Dads side died when he was a small boy..I did know my Mothers Mom..she lived with us and was just as cute as Grandma Walton..sweet,feisty and full of piss and vinegar..she never drank or swore which made my Dads day how he would pick on her, sadly we lost her in 1977..my Dads Mom died before I was born..since I had a limited immediate Family I made the ...
