A rather somber, yet engaging romp into the life of a young blonde woman with a repulsive secret buried so deep that even she doesn't consciously remember it. Although, renounced, the secret manages to convert the young lady into a rather clever and successful criminal. That is, until one of her wealthy victims decides to take an unexpected fancy to her - and then, all bets are off! This is one of the rare Hitchcock films that has a satisfying ending - which is why I don't hesitate to recommend it.

I've enjoyed this film for decades. MS. Hedren is naturally gifted. She never planned on being an actress yet she gave one of the best performances I've ever seen. She's convincing in this; running the gamut of so many emotions. Especially when she has to revert back to age 5. It's a fascinating study of what can happen when you're raised by someone who knew nothing about loving & caring properly for their child. I will never get tired of watching this film. I highly recommend it.

Thank you so much much for your help and answering my questions along the way. My husband and I are watching it now. The English subtitles work beautifully. We’re about to have dinner now, a little late, but then we will get back to it. Again thank you for a lovely copy of this DVD.
