Better than expected
Great difference in design. The diameter of the long support post is smaller (3/4”) than the old, original cymbal arm from my Gibraltar Rack (7/8”). I believe this makes the tubing more rigid and will result in lesser chance of crimping/crushing of the tubing when mounted in a clamp. My cymbal technique has changed so I may be less abusive to the post and the “ratchet” knuckle at the top, which broke on the older model.Great difference in design. Heavy duty boom arm, fully adjustable to any position!
A boom arm is great if you want to mount another cymbal but there's no room for another cymbal stand. Also it is less expensive than an entire stand.
