Carpenter Crayon
I use them to mark rebar cells on block work. They outlast any on the market. They are pretty hard not soft. The pink is really bright and easy to see. I'm a Brick Mason and won't use any other brand.

I use these lumber crayons in the woods for marking trees I've cut out into specific length logs. Although they appear more orange than pink, they are bright and easy to see the marks on the bark of trees. They are also durable (I use a crayon holder) and don't break easily or get ground down quickly on even rough bark trees like Chestnut Oak.
