Great easy hi-hat clutch!
I've used two different type clutches and the one that has the downstroke as this one does as opposed to the one that has the upward release I find way more effective... It's a more natural hit to be heading down on the release. I've used this Gibraltar in the past and have had nothing but great luck with it! Great brand great product!

These can be useful but do not always engage.
I've used these in the past but this one doesn't always catch when the hi hat pedal is pressed. A little disappointed as I wouldn't trust it for anything other than leasure drumming. I have a little over 20 years drumming and teach so believe me its this particular one. Others I have used engaged perfectly. I still recommend it but just be aware of the issue with some.

I've used several brands and find the Gibraltar the most stable and user friendly. If you use double bass or just double pedals, then this is the solution to hi hat utilization. Excellent product.
