This modem meets the requirements of my local phone company for DSL service. I am saving a lot of money by not renting the phone company's equipment. If you are interested in doing this, check your phone company's website and find a list of makes and models that they recommend.

Had really hoped it would work. Couldn't test it till later because I had to order a power supply. Could not get it to connect to internet though. Will try something else. Not sure if it's the router or if someone messed with it's settings previously. Not the eBay sellers fault. Dang thing looks brand new. All the lights work brightly. Just doesn't connect to my current CenturyLink connection. No way to check since it won't connect in the 1st place.

The C1000Z was packaged well and looked nice. It worked well for less than an hour. The modem worked well but the router only gave very intermittent coverage. I'm sure it was tested but the defect wasn't caught. They have been good about the refund process so far. The problem I have is the $6.29 postage we had to pay the post office before the post office would give us the C100Z!

Nothing really good or bad about it. It simply was identical to the original one I got when I signed up for Centurylink service. Works like the old one. If you have one of these on your Centurylink service buy it. At $28 to $35 it's much cheaper than the $100 Centurylink wants. Or than the $10 mo rental.

It does what it has to. The ZyXel doesn't have the largest range, the fastest transfer rate, or the most pleasant user interface. That said, it does what its designed to.
