I previously had an XFX R9 290x, DD edition, which looks very similar to this. So I was mostly interested in aesthetics. I had also seen feedback from professional tech reviewers warning that it ran too hot and was too loud, due to design flaws in the heat pipes, thermal padding, and excess plastic cover pieces. Firstly, in the looks department, this card absolutely lives up to its name, and is a sleek and elegant design that isn't covered in RGB or flashy colors, but still looks excellent around other enthusiast hardware. Its not hard to show off the card whatsoever. Noise-wise, its much quieter than my previous card, but the R9 290x was notoriously loud for its generation, so if you are upgrading from something newer or quieter than a 2014-2015 AMD card, your mileage may vary. Temperature-wise, the card does put out a noticeable amount of heat at full load, but none of the benchmark or measurement software I downloaded picked up exact readings from the card (likely a discrepancy with the drivers, see next point), so I have no idea how truly warm it got. I know that after a few hours of AAA gaming, such as Jedi: Fallen Order, it had raised the temperature in my closed bedroom by a few degrees. Finally, the only bad element of this card doesn't really have to do with the card itself, but with AMD. Their drivers are notoriously bad compared to NVIDIA, in almost every department. I've had graphical glitches on certain games when played on an ultrawide monitor. The fan curve is iffy, often times they aren't running when it seems they should be, and many others have complained that trying to adjust the curve is a frustrating ordeal. At this time I haven't tried myself, and I'm slightly afraid to do it wrong. So for the time being, until AMD drivers improve, expect some graphical glitches and hot temperatures. Overall, for $60 less than the original price, this was a good buy. Just expect warmer temps and issues with drivers that may not be easily fixed. Get your software department back on track, AMD.Read full review

If the old car look and non-gamery look is your thing this is about the only 5700xt available. It has some issues with the fans ramping up way to quick but its still quiet by any means for a card with two fans. Performance is the same as any other 5700xt in its price point.
