Most Excellent Coffee Bean
Not easy finding Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee that is not blended with other beans. Then to get it fresh roasted after you place your order is fantastic. I get my both of my exotic beans (Jamaican and Kona) from Blue Macaw. They have never disappointed in the quality and price. You can easily pay two to three times their price for similar quality exotic beans. Now for the bean itself. The Jamaican Blue Mountain bean makes for a robust but smooth coffee. No bitterness or sourness. I get mine medium roasted for use in my super-auto machine. There has been no issue with gummying up the grinder. The medium roast is not oily and I think if it was darker roasted it would mask the excellent coffee flavor with more burnt flavors. Brazilian Yellow Bourbon from Blue MaCaw Coffee, the perfect coffee.
I am very particular about my coffee. It must be flavorful, nice on the palette, no acidity, and roasted to perfection each order. Brazilian Yellow Bourbon Coffee which I purchase only from Blue MaCaw Coffee Roasters (a small batch coffee roaster) fills all those requirements and more. This coffee brews up with the same taste on every pot full. It has a mild taste, never bitter, always perfect. I buy roasted whole bean and grind it for each pot full. Blue MaCaw ships their coffee in one pound bags which are nitrogen sealed to maintain freshness. These bags are also resealable after opening if your grinder hopper is not large enough to hold a full pound of beans. You cannot seem to use too much coffee per serving. This coffee goes to a certain saturation level and holds the taste ... I am very particular about my coffee. Super fresh and excellent medium roast! So far this and the yellow burbon medium roasts are my favorite, but still trying different beans. Super quality and delivery time. Better deal with 5 1lb bags. Definitely recomment!

I typically enjoy a French Roast type brew every morning, and love its charred, smoky sweetness. This coffee is the opposite of a French Roast in that it's super-smooth, velvety, rich. One can actually taste the bean itself with its hints of herbs, floral, and nuttiness flavors. That's almost impossible to experience with a French Roast, because the roasting itself overpowers the bean. Both are excellent for completely different reasons, and one's mood will dictate which one to brew. I'm glad I finally tried Jamaica Blue Mountain.
