Every Med. Transcriptionist NEEDS THIS BOOK!! It is an MTs Bible! :) I am in a medical transcription course and found this book to be extremely helpful. I found it easy to look up information, find answers to the never ending GRAMMAR questions. I use this book on a daily basis. I would highly recommend that everyone gets the workbook companion too!! I bought this book because I am a medical transcriptionist and own the BOS 2nd edition. This new edition has about twice as much information in it and is better organized than the 2nd edition. I do note, however, that many times it advises the reader to "check appropriate references for guidance." It would be helpful to see an appendix with the references AHDI considers appropriate listed by chapter.
I purchased the BOS as a used book and it arrived quickly and it's in great condition.
