The book arrived on time. And content matched what was displayed. It's the second edition not the latest, so you get that straight. But for the price, common, this is one of the best deal you can come across. And the there's no much difference compared with the latest edition, except for the home work problems which question number and page doesn't correspond. You will as well get the same understand and grade if you used the new one.
Though I wasn't taught by the author, I took the course at the university where she teaches. I've bought or read three different organic chemistry textbooks to date, and this one has been the most helpful in understanding the concepts. It cuts to the chase. I would suggest this book for those who prefer pictures to words.
book is exactly like the hard cover american version of the text, except that its hundreds of dollars cheaper. the sample problems are good. the section of sp hybridization could have used a little more detail, especially noting sigma and pi bonds. The text also calls london dispersion forces van der waals forces, which some people view as incorrect. The solutions manual is good, although every once in a while I would have liked to have had a little more detail in the solutions. But overall, it is very good.
the cover is different with what i suppose to buy,but the content is the same,it's OK~i will keep in searching for any otherthings in ebay, maybe the search engine can be designed more effesive,as it takes me much time to find my stuff.
this is my first time of studing organic. though i hav to read each chapter twice to absorb all the info but the book is great. it emphasis on the core subject and it always reference to a page in the book.the book is basic and understandable.lot of example also. i will advice anyone taking organic to get a molecular model to aid with any book.
