"Chemistry: A Molecular Approach" is a straightforward introduction to inorganic chemistry. Every chapter has all the pertinent formulas listed at the end for easy reference, and every time a new formula is introduced in the context of a chapter, an example is given immediately afterward in addition to a step-by-step procedure for solving it. The online service associated with this book, though slightly pricey ($54 at masteringchemistry.com), is an excellent resource.
Bought this for college chemistry class. Haven't needed to use it yet but it's the complete book, in PDF format. You can read it on any devise that supports PDF. I didn't know it was only the ebook until after I bought it but it'll work. I dislike how I have to bring my computer when I want to read it but it'll serve it's purpose anyways.
Exactly what I wanted!

I bought this book for college physics. I feel that it is a pretty good textbook, however it can get a little dry. I feel that it would be more appealing with more figures and images to visualize some concepts.
The book is packed full of straight forward explanations and example problems. I honestly felt that an hour reading the book was better than two hours of teacher instruction.
