The authors do a great job of laddering the skills needed for advanced statistics. It's easy to follow with examples throughout the chapters and practice problems at the end of each chapter. Each chapter builds on previous chapters. If you can get the companion manual to go along with this book (it contains a lot of extra problems and solutions) you will be set!

If you are told to buy this book- ask your professors if they are really sure they want you too. Not only that I had to spend over 90 bucks on it!
