About this product

Product Information

&> Computer Networking continues with an early emphasis on application-layer paradigms and application programming interfaces (the top layer), encouraging a hands-on experience with protocols and networking concepts, before working down the protocol stack to more abstract layers. This book has become the dominant book for this course because of the authors' reputations, the precision of explanation, the quality of the art program, and the value of their own supplements. Visit the authors' blog for information and resources to discuss the newest edition, as well as valuable insights, teaching tips, and discussion about the field of Computer Networking http: //kuroseross.com

  • Description

I bought this book for my classes on Networking. The content of this book covers a lot of information about basic of networking. The text is easy to follow and does not require special skills from the side of college student. However, it covers too much topics in nuts-and-bolts detail. Student might get overloaded with information. Exercises at the end of the chapters are very useful and helps reflect on the chapter. Overall, nice book to have.

  • Good quality book... well worth the savings.

I had read that sometimes the internatinal version would be in black and white and the paper could either very thin or of poor quality (e.g. "ground wood" similar to news print). The pages are color The paper quality is good.. I would definately buy another international version book from this publisher. I've just skimmed over the book, but it seems like a quality text book for learning about networking..

  • if you want to get a high mark, then get this book, dont rely on google.

    - Great text book, did the job it was suppose to do.I use the book for university, it made understanding the network environment so much more easier than using Google, a worth while investment for a cheap price. although its a bit of a thick text book, everything is categorized and its very easy to find the topics you are looking for.

  • No register online username and password

I tried to register online with the student access code. But someone has already registered. It made me a bit frustrating. There's some wrong damage on the cover of the book, not the bottom of the book. But it doesn't not prevent me from reading. So the price is reasonable comparing to the U.S. edition.

  • Big Lier

This vendor was a big lier where he has put the original book cover page picture instead of the international edition picture, which make you think that they the same. I got a book with different cover picture from that in the website, and I found the pages no are different. also, I found the exercises no are in differen order.
