Although it is an older edition then the current one on school, it works for my needs.

I purchased it for grad school and it is an excellent read - especially for those in the counseling, mental health and education fields. Truthfully, it's for anyone that deals with diverse populations on a daily basis. The book is in great condition however, I wished I had waited because I could have gotten it for much less on one of the discounted book websites.
Was aa promised. Not disappointed. I would recommend this to anyone

I bought the book for a graduate class on cultural diversity. It is definitely not friendly towrd white culture and presents all minorities as oppressed by dominate white culture, and white culture as being oppressive by nature, even if unintentionally so. All examples of bad behavior in the book seem to be about whites treating minirities badly. Lots of good info on counseling a variety of people from many cultures in spite of its obvious political agenda. A very thorough treatment of the topic.
I purchased this product for my psych class. I just started readying it, its isn't very difficult, it is however interesting and i think can give people of european american background a good insight on how people of color perceive the world and the difficulties they face.
