    Replaces the original part perfectly and works the same way.

    It works just like the original if not better. It fits perfectly, the steering wheel lock works great. You don't need to pay high prices for an OEM switch as long as Emgo is around.

    No compatible with the OEM type

    This is only a stop gap item until you can get a proper OEM type, the ignition switch does NOT have an active brown wire that powers the tail lights, and they don't tell you that when you buy it. You need to run a jumper wire across from the red to the brown wire for it to work, trust me spend the extra and get a proper one from your motorcycle dealer.

    Ignition switch / Key / with Steering Column Lock.

    Fit right in for the replacement of the original lock with steering column lock. Fairly easy replacement. My son did the work. Two bolts and a wire harness connector. Installed on a 1978 Suzuki GS550E. Would have been nice if there was a hole for a Key Chain. Need to save old key for gas tank and seat lock.
