The finish is not up to that of the Sony OEM flashes but who cares? And it is also not inexpensive, but it works as specified. One of the most important features is the flash can work as a transmitter as well as a receiver. That's what made me buy this flash although it is more expensive than the other, "N...n" flash. So, I can mount one flash on my camera, either use it for fill in flash and trigger another one somewhere else using the RF. It is true that the flash on the camera adds bulk and weight to the setup but if you need fill-in, you need fill-in and you can do it without bracket. Either I mount a soft box, add a flash modifier or bounce the flash light off the wall/ceiling. The RF triggering is what made me sell my Sony OEM flashes. With the Mitros+ I can fire the off camera flashes placed behind obstruction to hide them unlike the Sony flashes that require some kind of line of sight for triggering and it is not really reliable, even indoors, if you want to hide the off camera flashes.
