Product Information
In 1993 Data East released Fighter's History. It was a 2D fighting game that was designed to be similar to Capcom's Street Fighter II. One year later, Data East released a sequel in Karnov's Revenge. Also known as Fighter's History Dynamite, Karnov's Revenge retains the same 2D fighting gameplay of the first title.<br><br>All of the original game's characters return to join a cast of new characters, giving Karnov's Revenge a total playable cast of 13 characters. To compete with the new cast, returning veterans from the first game sport new moves and techniques. In a departure from standard fighter design though, Karnov's Revenge offers no super attacks or desperation moves.<br><br>Karnov's Revenge borrows its predecessor's unique dizzy system. The characters each have a weak point that's designated by a piece of clothing. When that weak point is struck several times in one round the piece of clothing associated with it begins flashing. The next time that area is struck the piece of clothing falls off and the character gets dizzied.<br><br>To win a round characters must completely deplete their opponent's life bar before the opponent does the same in return. Matches are best two round out of three events, with characters having to win two rounds in order to move on to the next match.
