    To Kill a Mockingbird/OST

    Here's a great choice for all lover's of music and classic cinema. The original sound track of "To Kill a Mockingbird" by the great Elmer Bernstein. Playing this CD brings back every vivid moment in this true classic of the depression Era South. Elmer Bernstein,well-known for his classic Western Sountracks(The Magnificent Seven,The Sons of Katie Elder,etc), shows his greatness in his transforming picture to music. The darkness of the movie and themes are well focused in the attention to the musical adaptation. As Atticus Finch related in the movie that you can't know a person until you crawl around inside his skin,the same is true for Bernstein here. Sit back,relax,and crawl into Elmer's skin in this glorious scoring.

    pleased

    I remember taking the "To Kill a Mockingbird" record out of the library as a young teen and loving it. Each mood of the movie is there in music. I never forgot it and always wanted to here it again and was happy to find this CD available. Took a little longer than I expected to get here, but I was kept informed of its progress. The condition was exactly as described. I was very pleased.

    Legendary Music for a Legendary Film

    This is a musical score for the ages, as memorable as Atticus Finch himself. Feel the sultry south and the spanish moss in the trees as you travel back to the time when children ran from dawn til dusk, and dark secrets could live next door.

    False Advertising

    This IS a good recording which Bernstein made in later years. However, it is NOT the "original" Soundtrack.
