    Excellent value for the money for older boards!

    I built a new PC for myself back in 2007. I bought a combo package from Tiger direct containing the CPU, Motherboard and Heatsink/fan. The other parts I bought over time and after a month or two I finally had all of the parts necessary to build my machine. Unfortunately, the processor that came in the bundle was an AMD Athlon 64 2.6GHz (single core) processor I believe. The socket is AM2 so the best processor I can possibly get that is compatible with this board was the AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor which brought me up from single to dual-core. After receiving the product and buying some thermal grease for $15 at Staples (over priced) I installed the CPU. It took about 10-15 minutes as I had to clean the heat sink of any remaining thermal grease among other things. I installed the CPU, ...

    Amazing!

    This processor completed changed my PC's performance. I went from choppy audios/videos and lagging software to super-fast, multitasking abilities for under $10! Super happy super satisfied!
