Intel Pentium P-4 3.2GHz
Improved computer overall speed and performance dramatically from a 2.8GHz processor. Later, replaced 1Gb of PC2700 with 3Gb PC3200 and performance again took a big jump. Mobo supports SATA HDD and will replace the IDE HDD with SATA. May or may not see any performance improvement by replacing the HDD. We shall see........ New Info: New SATA HDD did improve performance. Faster Processor + Tripling the Memory (& PC2700 upped to PC3200) + SATA HDD = Very fast computer considering it is over 13 years old now even with the XP dinosaur OS. Windoze XP SP3 still in use today (a/o July 2016). I had to begin using FireFox (Chrome not supported with XP anymore, and IE8 about dead for all intents and purposes).
