The Intel E2180 2 GHz CPU offers enhanced features for a single home PC to perform at optimum speeds while multitasking. This is a dual-core processor, offering two cores and two threads. This Intel Pentium processor operates on a 64-bit instruction set while being compatible with the LGA775 socket type. There is one expansion slot available for the LGA775 socket installed. In addition, Thermal Monitoring technologies help to keep the CPU running below the maximum operating temperature of 163.9 degrees F. This technology also prevents overheating. The Intel E2180 has an installed L2 cached memory capacity of 1 MB. Furthermore, this Intel Pentium processor imposes low-voltage technology, keeping the voltage range to a minimum of 0.85 volts and a maximum of 1.5 volts. The bus/core ratio on this 2 GHz CPU is 10, with an FSB speed of 800 MHz. It also features a maximum TDP of 65 watts with a maximum manufacturing process rate of 65 nm. Along with the Thermal Monitoring technologies, the additional performance enhancements available on this Intel Pentium processor include Execute Disable Bit, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology, Intel 64, and Idle States.

    Great Little Upgrade

    There is nothing like getting what is advertised.

    I used this processor in an old OptiPlex. They have been a for me a real work horse of computer. Receiving this item ahead of schedule was a plus because time is money. Before installing, I ran some processor checking software as this processor will ultimately be used in a remote network situation.

    I needed them

    I don't use this product for a cpu, I chopped them up in tiny pieces to process them with acid, then melt it down into a gold nugget.
