Paired with 4GB of RAM and a cheap SSD this little CPU is still capable in 2021. Browsing is easy, navigating is snappy and media playback is great!!!

Awesome product. Greate value for the small money
My desktop is optiplex 745 with Pentium D 950 and 4GB RAm. It is quite good one but I can not watch full HD movies. So I need to upgrade CPU. I got the new CPU from ebay.Very good CPU. I use it for my old desktop and absolutely satisfy.The performance now is much improved and now I can watch full HD movies smoothly. I can open many web page at the same time without delaying and do multi task such as: coding, listening music, chating,..etc The price is not very high if you compare to the others. I am happy with my choice. I got the new CPU from ebay.Very good CPU. I use it for my old desktop and absolutely satisfy.The performance now is much improved and now I can watch full HD movies smoothly. Simply the Best 65nm C2Duo CPU
I have owned mine for nearly 4 years now and it is still strong. Plays most Games out with other high performance hardware such as memory and graphics cards. The big brother (Q6600) would be better for the latest Games out, but if your not shy to spend the Cash then Build yourself an i7 Core system. This CPU (E6600) Overclocks Well I can get Mine close to 3.4Ghz but not quite. If you do overclock these be sure to have a good heatsink and fan stock coolers will not perform well for cooling an overclocked CPU. Good memory will help with the full potientual of gainning maximum performance out of this CPU a good 1066 FSB system (memory) would be a good all-round match for this CPU, then overclocking would be benificial. Great option for older OEM boards!
Core 2 Duos are a great processor line, but are quickly being replaced by the new Core i5 and i7s. For those building a new computer, those are a much better choice, but if you're like me and were using an old 2006 OEM then you are limited on options. For me, this was the best chip my old board could take and while it is better than the old pentium dual core I had, it doesn't exactly blow me away. Still, there is a notable improvement in performance, and I can run many more games than I could previously. All said, this is a decent chip even in 2011 with the other options and should sufficiently power any compatible computer.Core 2 Duos are a great processor line, but are quickly being replaced by the new Core i5 and i7s. This review is for a used high end computer processor. This type of purchase can be somewhat risky due to the nature of used electronics. However, the price was just right and it has functioned perfectly and thus far I am very happy with my purchase. Truly, time will tell.
