    First line of AM2 Athlon Processors with 2MB Cache

    When upgrading older machines, and running newer operating systems like Windows 10, it is important to choose a processor that can handle the load. After researching multiple Athlon AM2 processors, the ADA5600IAA6CZ is the slowest of the clock speed choices, but the first AM2 Athlon processor to offer 2mb cache. In most cases, this processor is one of the cheapest options, that's why I picked it. Very happy with my purchase, and glad you can pick these processors up for next to nothing these days.

    Close to the Best!

    This dual-core, 89 watt CPU is likely the best deal for those old AM2 motherboards. It is more compatible than the 125 or 65 watt variants, and is cheaper than the 6000+. Here is the model number for your reference: ADA5600IAA6CZ Whenever you buy these CPUs, make sure you check for bent pins before attempting installation!

    Excellent upgrade from 4400+ to 5600+ rating. Performance is noticably better!

    Its a dual core so not as powerful as a quad, not a later model processor but for a computer I had originally had a single core Sempron in, (3000+) rating, I had put a 4400+ rated Athlon 64 X2 in, but wanted a little more pep so I could run a virtual machine at a better performance. Made a noticable difference for me. The Sempron single core just couldn't run a virtual machine very well at all, since processing time was split using software virtualization. The hardware virtualization provided by an X2 is much better. For anyone like me looking to upgrade an older pc without spending a mint, it was a good step.

    Perfect for the Everyday Computer, Fast, Reliable and a Cheap upgrade!!

    This is the second one of these processors that I have owned. I bought one brand new in 2007, and have loved it since the beginning. Though it is only a Dual-Core processor, it is fast, responsive and long lasting. Along with an economy line Video card and a few GB's of RAM it runs Windows 7 64-Bit like a dream, and plays HD video with no problems. I find this processor faster than many competing Intels, and the lower purchase price makes it a clear choice for an older computer upgrade. It has a low TDP allowing it to be used in most AM2 sockets, older or newer and for that reason I find it to be very versatile and user friendly. The Core clock speed of 2.80 Ghz is more than enough for most mid to high end programs, and the Dual-Cores allows it to not skip a beat. I still use my original ...
