Andis verse Oster clippers, I have used and owned both, both good quality clippers, I had problems with the Andis clippers blades getting hot faster and needed to put in the freezer to cool them down while pulling out spare blades to finish cutting the coats of our cockers. After 6 years my Oster power max clippers finally gave out. We figured they gave us about 144 trims, we put about 1 hour per cut per dog. They have paid for them-selves many times over at $40. a cut. I like Oster over Andis. Oster has been around a-lot longer then my 60 years, my mother used them also for many years.

I bought them brand new. They're loud, get hot fast. So hot you can't hold them. JUNK. We've done 4 shih-tzu's with them and now they don't work at all! Absolute garbage! Power max, tough clippers my arse! Do yourself a favor and get the comparable Andis one speed model for about the same price. They work great!

Very disappointed this rather pricey clipper does not come equipped with any ability /accessories to adjust length. You need to purchase additional blades AND guards to give you length options. Prev clippers i bought came ready to cut akin tight and guards to allow for 3-4” length adjustments. The blades avail are very expensive Classic case of “we will give you the razor but sell you the blades”
