It seems strong although the chain is quite small as in link size , without measuring them I'd say they're about a half inch long . A person with a strong , large breed dog may not care for this light weight chain .

Add a stronger hook
Sorry, but I am not very fond of it. I have a king charles Cocker Spaniel about 25 lbs and it wasn't strong enough when he pulled it is not strong enough for him. Pros: He could not chew on it. I believe it is more useful for smaller/medium dogs. Cheaper price. CONS: My cocker spaniel could not chew on it. The leather holder I assume what is called..torn already. . Had to add a piece to the chain as you can see in the photo it is from an old leash I had that broke. Bought another connection to the chain leash to replace where it broke on the leash. Still useable after I fixed it and add the hook it is bigger and stronger and better than the small one that came on the leash. Sorry, but I am not very fond of it. Dog hit by car
No less than 5 minutes it breaks as soon as I start using it and my poor dog I had for years gets hit by a car i just think his leg broken taking him to the vet today anyways I got pictures also please don’t buy this if you know what’s good for you that was so bad what I had to go through it was a 3 land highway to because we live right on the beach
