Big Hero 6 is an entertaining tale of a young man on the verge of coming into his own. Young Hiro is using his genius for design to clean up in underground 'bot battles, when his big brother steps in to show him where he could really put his talents to work - and make a difference. He gets a tour of his brother's lab at "Nerd School" and meets his awesome classmates. Hiro is blown away by what he sees. He comes up with a brilliant idea to gain a college scholarship at an upcoming science fair at the school, succeeds - but triumph turns to disaster as an explosion tears apart the fair, and his brother is killed in a futile attempt to save his own mentor who was trapped in the building. Hiro is crushed and falls into depression. He's about to abandon his dream when his late brother's own project intervenes. Baymax is a robotic "personal healthcare companion" packaged in a soft, inflated body. He attempts to provide therapy to Hiro and help him deal with his grief. And that's when the real story takes off. Hiro discovers his invention has been stolen - and the thief is up to no good. His brother's friends become involved - and they all become targets. And that's when they set out to become heroes, building on their own talents enhanced by Hiro's gifts. The story is set in San Fran Sokyo, a visual mash-up of San Francisco and Tokyo, with some beautiful design elements. While there are some cliche elements to the story, the execution deals with them in a satisfactory manner. It's a movie that will bear watching several times, to pick up on all the details in it and better appreciate the characters and plot twists. Plus, if you watch all the way through the credits at the end, there's an animated cameo appearance by Stan Lee. (This was based on a Marvel story.) I haven't had a chance to try out the Blu-ray or digital copies yet, but if they work as well as the plain DVD, they should be good.Read full review
This is a fantastic movie and really gets you in the feels. Easily the best part of the movie is Baymax. His presence really makes the movie! The ending of the movie is really good, but I wished it would have taken its time as opposed to rushing so unbelievably hard. It felt like they needed to rap up the movie because it was getting too long so they skipped past the "how" and "why" and focused more on it just happening. Nevertheless, it is still amazing, you should totally check it out.

I payed $10.00, and got so much more for that. The Blu-Ray disk I got was in perfect condition. The DVD only had a small smudge. Does not include digital download. You get deleted and alternate scenes, with a theatrical trailer and a short. One of my most satisfying purchases.

Baymax, one of the main characters, is a autonomous robot that is undeniably awesome. He possesses the qualities of an adorbaly naive child and those of an undaunted hero that we all want to be. I’ve never been a big Disney fan but he made one out of me.
