Futurama was a great series that died before its time. It was very well written and very funny. The movie is done very well also. Again, Bender the robot steals all the scenes. His voice is one of the best fitting in all of animation. If you are a fan of the original series I would highly recommend the movie. All the favorite regular characters are back plus many of the minor characters such as RoboSanta. Sometimes the time travel gets confusing and its best to not think about it to hard and just enjoy the show. You're not going to live 1000 years to see the future so do the next best thing and buy this DVD and see it that way!
I decided to buy Futurama's straight to DVD movie because I am addicted to the show. Now you might ask, "What about the quality?, What about the writing?, What about the story?, What about?, What about? What about? . . ." I can't tell you if Fry and Leela Kiss, and since it's going to air soon anyway, you'll find out soon enough. Something I can say, all kinds of little things get explained, from what happened to a dog that can do three things at once to why Fry has a tattoo he does't remember getting. Here's hoping that there are more episodes to come, and that they come out once a year. Now I rated this excellent because I couldn't rate it between the good and excellent. This is really just 4 more episodes strung together. Four great episodes, but not a movie. If you're a fan of the show, and have all the episodes on DVD and keep a spare DVD player for when DVDs go the way of Video Tape, then you'll want this, and you'll love it, and you'll want more. Just a thought though, the more people who tell Matt and David that they'll buy future Futurama, the more that will come out.Read full review
This was like watching one long episode so it was nice not to be watching it broken up into sections I enjoyed the movie it’s just as good as the regular episodes

Basically one feature-length Futurama episode, but with a weaker and more flickery storyboard than usual. I'm a huge fan of the series, but this was somewhat of a disappointment. It's of course nice to see Futurama take vengeance from beyond the grave on the FOX network that cancelled them, but after the initial rebellious executive-bashing, the show spirals downwards. Animation is as crisp and clean as ever, and the characters are all there, but somehow the story moves with a limp. It's never really exciting, and the re-appearance of a number of sideline characters that have appeared during the span of the television series feels a bit forced and not motivated storywise. This is a good buy if you just can't get enough of Futurama, but it's not a must-have and certainly not Futurama's finest hour.Read full review
There Back baby. After being taken off the air for a few years The Planet Express crew came back for a great 4 movie deal, with a continuation of the old series after that. This movie is one of the funniest stories ever told in Futurama and is also a Great move regarding Time Travel. I recommend this to fans of Time Travel and Futurama who are new to the show or even old fans that missed it while it was gone.
