Very good guitar. Fun to play and I really like the pickups. I changed the strings from 9 to 10 and had some tuning issues. I lubed the nut widened the nut and things are better. Light weight and versatile.

The guitar has a very interesting feel to it, the neck feels like it’s a full Fret smaller than most guitars due to the fact that the bridge is pulled way back toward the bottom of the guitar. This makes for a very comfortable playing specially when playing bar chords like an F chord at the top of the neck, you don’t have to stretch to do it. If you set this guitar up next to a Fendor Tele (see photo) you’ll see that the nut on this guitar is in line with the first Fret on the Fender which in my opinion makes for a very very comfortable playing experience.

This compares very well to my U.S made Axis I owned in the 90s. I do not feel I down graded with a import instrument. Sure the tuners could be a little smoother but they function well. Would buy a Sterling again with no hesitation.
