I have always liked indestructible equipment, and that is where this pedals construction has proven itself. It is armor encased volume control at its best. Positive shut off when off and smooth transition through the volume control, easy swells and smooth under your foot. Some people don't like the string under the pedal because it will eventually break. The string and spring is an easy fix if you watch the Ernie Ball You-tube video and it is a cheap repair if you were to break one. This pedal does everything I purchased it for, I can't say that there is anything about it that needs improvement. After all these years in production, these are still being built indestructible. I like mine, I recommend one, or two, or ............

The pedal is great, however some will find that it does not allow you to swell the way they want. it's either too much or too little volume and the range could be better, In one example, on a recent recording I had to ditch the pedal completely and just use my volume knob to create the desired volume distrortion roll-in that i was hoping to achieve with the pedal. I think this is a good pedal for gauging your stage or room volume but for swells not so much.

This pedal is an industry standard and used by countless professionals live and in the studio. It enables me to practice at home w/the full potential of my guitar's volume, pedals and amp. My amp volume can be to a place where it's working better and can accept the full volume of my guitar. The volume pedal is a go-between that makes it happen at reasonable home volumes in my studio. Pedal steel effects are achieved as are tremolo. It doesn't get in the way or degrade the guitar's tone as other active pedals tend to. It takes practice to get swells sounding good and accurate. At times I find myself needing to increase or back off subtly and that takes practice to hit it right every time. The other issue w/mine is that I'd like it to sometimes be less resistant to foot/leg pressure but there are clear reasons for this (it doesn't move or drift once set). All in all I'm very satisfied w/adding this to my tool belt.Read full review

The Ernie Ball volume pedal is arguably the standard of the industry. Simple and refined in its design, it is a reliable and well manufactured product. The particular example that I purchased is designed for use with passive electronics. It was purchased Brand New. It came packaged in it's original celophane, and manufacturers cardboard box. The price was very good, the shipment was prompt. I highly recommend purchasing this item from this particular seller.

This is a great value. I’ve had this same one before. Simple, does what it should. No frills. Gives you quick access to volume and ability to swell into or out of your playing. And it requires no power supply. It also has two output jacks. One, directly to tuner pedal. The other to rest of pedal chain. And it doesn’t take up too much real estate on the pedal board !!
