I gave this bass 4 stars because the fretboard is very wide and it is not for everyone. Also, the width may hurt your wrists a bit at first. However, if you can look past all that, you will discover a bass with a massive sound, killer tone, and awesome playability. I'm amazed at how great this bass is! Conklin is now one of my favorite brands!

This bass is Conklin's working man's bass guitar. With it's active Bartolini pickups and the 7 strings of bass sound, any bassist would be lucky to own this amazing instrument. When they say it is playable all the way to the 24th fret, they aren't lying! Unbelievably comfortable play-ability, despite it's wide neck! I owned this bass for quite some time. Before I started playing it, people told me that I needed to get as good as I could on the 4 or 5 before making the jump to the mighty 7. But I beg to differ! On the contrary, playing this bass for many years has made me even better on the five string than I ever would have had I not made the switch. I HIGHLY recommend this bass; you WON'T be disappointed!

Great sounding bass. While the neck is massive it's still easy to play. Super fun to play. Invest in a good strap.
