Darkglass Microtubes VMT
I've been a bassist for 36 years, all the while using various distortions of many, many different brands. Rarely find anything that's sounds good but this pedal ranks among the best if not THE best. I watched a youtube video with a bassist who was using it in his pedal board and liked what I heard. You cant always tell how these will work from a video but I decided to try it. I may have finally ended my life's search for a great distortion box. Great sounding effect
In my opinion, Darkglass makes some of the best sounding bass effects pedals available. The Vintage Microtubes adds just enough grit to compliment your tone without sounding too over the top or synthetic. A great addition to any bassists pedal board, or just as a stand alone unit to add some organic tone to an otherwise dry sound.
