A very good instrument for the money and made with high quality control-- fit and finish and neck setup were perfect right out of the box. It is very comfortable and easy to play, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a durable nylon acoustic/electric style guitar with a somewhat narrower neck width than a standard classical guitar. If you want an even narrower neck width similar to a steel string guitar, get the slim model (it was a bit too narrow for me); if you want a more traditional classical guitar width, get the concert series. Note that the electrics require a 9 volt battery to work, and although you can hear it play un-amplified for practicing quietly, it is not a true deep-bodied acoustic and best results are achieved with it plugged in. This model is equipped with the multi-pin connector and special synth pickup that allows the use of a Roland or similar synth module, I have not tried that aspect of it yet. In this case I recommend that prospective buyers try one in a music store (if available) or to check out an online demo video on YouTube, or similar website to get an idea whether this option is worth the extra money. If not, I would recommend the less expensive Encore model which has the standard pickup system only.Read full review

If you want a nylon synth-access guitar you basically have two choices- Godin and Carvin. If you are financially challenged like me, this further limits your choices to buying used. Now it becomes a question of where do you find a used instrument like this? The simple fact is that Godin produces a wide range of instruments that fit this category, vs. Carvin's NS-1. And they probably sell dozens or hundreds of each model for every single one Carvin sells. Ergo you can find them all day long on eBay. This is a phenomenal instrument, and I got mine for a fantastic price. I'm looking at their solidbody electric SA guitars now. I would buy another Godin product at any time without hesitation.
I have a Godin nylon HG with the typical wider neck and the slim version for playing jazz tunes and recording compositions. Excellent guitar as I got a B stock and it is prettier than the more expensive one and plays just as well.

The chambered body has great resonance, neck plays wonderfully, especially for older hands. Get it!

I now have the twelve string, and two high end Gordon guitars. This is the nylon guitar which now gives me an awesome array of differences. I would not have purchased these instruments if I had not thought they were great sounding and made of high quality wood and made from highly professional luthiers. I would recommend anyone to do what I have done in purchasing these guitars and selling all others in their possession.
