I have always played Les Paul type guitars/necks. Never did I think I would like a Fender. It's like Ford -vs- Chevy. Always been a Chevy man but Ford is looking pretty good now. And the same goes for the Fender Stratocaster, I truly love this guitar. It is my go to guitar for just about every recording I do now. Although I do use other guitars to help with that separation of sound. The neck is a pleasure to hold and has a different feel than the Les Paul neck has. Both are great but I now favor the Fender Strat now more than I do the Les Paul. It also has a wealth of sound that can be achieved by turning the tone and volume knobs along with the 5 position switch. And I think this is where it separates itself from the rest. I don't use many effect and depend on the guitar to have the rich tones that I want. I don't think you can go wrong with any Fender product. Give one a try.Read full review
