The Rawlings Manufacturing Company owned the patent for this mitt and Stanped it H Sporting Goods. After looking up the Patent, we noticed that they owned the patent. This older Mitt Marked 2311949 patent is on the top part of the mitt fingers. This mitt is stiff and has no broken leather strings. The mitt has hard patches in the stuffing. Lots of Dirt build-up on the surface of the glove. Typical old leather smell and feel of the glove. Some discolorization on the mitt. The cuff that goes over the wrist shows some fraying of the stitching. The glove says the following: Hand Formed Greased Pocket- Willie Puddin Head Jones. Playmaker Model- H-Sporting Goods 60-4202- Hinged. Licensed under Patent Number 231149. This is a 75-year-old Leather Baseball Glove/Mitt. See all photos for details on the condition.”
