    Review by John D Morgan

This is the best book on basketball I have ever read being a former coach I enjoyed it immensely

  • Book of Basketball is awesome

I love this book; it's very entertaining. While it's a large book, it's easily readable. It's good for just picking and reading just five pages or fifty pages at once, and it never gets boring. The book is well-researched and makes intelligent arguments for the most part. Plus, it includes those little digs at players, such as Kareem, Vince Carter and Stockton, that really keep the story entertaining. Few people can write in both an entertaining and informative way, and Simmons has unquestionably mastered that skill. The only drawbacks are Simmons' overvaluing anyone who has ever donned the green-and-white and his obsession with pornography that he keeps detailing.

  • Very informative

Bought for my grandson. He asked for this book and has his nose in it every day.

  • NBA From A to Z

I have yet to finish reading this monstrosity of a book, I think it will take me several months to get through it but from what I have read up to this point I will say that Bill Simmons has put together a very entertaining and thought provoking book for the NBA fan. He touches on almost every NBA player and has a "What If" chapter that sheds light on situations that could have happened that would have shaped some NBA teams differently . I do recommend this book for the die hard NBA fan. You won't be disappointed.
