If you know this file system, fine buy another one. this is why i am here . these units are getting old and failure comes quickly . but i am old and know this file system very well. I do not know the system on my smart phone....so here i am buying another one that most likely will last less than a year.......if you don't have a reason to be here ......don't, stick with your smart phone , it's the present and the future.

Back when these were new devices, I owned a low end Sharp but drooled on the higher end units. Part of what I was looking for was nostalgia, but I was also looking for something purpose-built, with no distractions for keeping track of my schedule, notes, and important contacts. This little machine fits the bill perfectly. Since it is a 25 year old unit, there are some quirks that you'll need to work around if you want to use it as a daily driver. It defaults to CAPS being on for everything, and there is no way to disable that. I'm still trying to find out if there is a way to see Reminder (anniversary) data easily, and there is no simple "day-at-a-glance" that will combine Schedule, Reminder, and To-Do information. If those are minor issues that you can overlook when using it, then it's an astounding gadget. Transferring data to a PC (especially under Linux!) can be a bit of a challenge, but that's some of the fun of it for me. It's not as easily pocketable as many of the smaller units, but the generously large screen more than makes up for it in my opinion. Read full review

This device has a presence on your desktop. It has an excellent and beautiful design. I think it is not too portable.
