This mid 90's production has its own unique directive. Different story lines with dark elements that take the film away from some drool moments in the 4th and 5th installments (don't waste your time with the 3rd). This cult aspect of the plot gives it a boost to make up for a few bad acting jobs. Though the story is hard to grasp for the casual fan, common themes found in the Halloween series move the movie through the less intense scenes. The notorious home where Michael returns fostering the Strodes and Devil Child has all the tricks necessary to bring about a successful addition. Caves, hospitals, fields, bus stations and a plethora of other fun spots give Michael another enjoyable journey in Haddonfield or wherever else U.S.A. Some hardcore fans might even find some closure by the 6th chapter (if you count Season of the Witch), in a film where some of the Michael Myers story comes full circle. Myers promises a reign of twisted sickness that all other horror icons fail to bring to the table. Michael is as powerful as ever this time around because there is no lying in what kinds of forces drive Michael during his last encounter with Donald Pleasence. This in turn makes Myers the true pound for pound champ, sorry GSP and Pacquiao. Jason Voorhees stock is up but he has too much garbage in-between the gold, suck it Freddy Krueger and Chucky (worst-ever). Give it a chance for the score and the cinematography alone, well worth a rental even though it is short on run time. Absurdities are at the heart of any good horror flick and this one doesn't disappoint in that department.Read full review
this 1 and the original are my favorites. i rate this 1 good as opposed to excellent because the producers cut is the better version. while i won't give much away, then again if you are a mike fan you likely have seen it, but the "H" series to me is the best of the big four in horror, jason, freddy, and leather. this film at least shows a glimpse into why mike is the way he is, and while freddy is certainly the smartest of the 4, if you study these films, mike is actually the most cunning; if ya can see my point. i mean jason is a moron, leather is a freakshow, mike is actually the only one who truly stalks prior to a kill, and hey, he can drive a car. in closing, the scene in H5 where mike takes his mask off for his niece and he sheds a tear, that is actually a spiritual moment for me, but then again, i don't get out much. (damn prison guards.)Read full review
This is the original Halloween 6 The Curse of Michael Myers: Producers Cut. Hard to find in dvd format. The quality is pretty good for being an unofficial release. Great addition to my Halloween film franchise collection 🎃🍁

It seems that this movie is one of the ones that you either love or hate. You can debate whether the curse of thorn idea was a great addition to the series or not. I thought the idea brought something new to the series and helped explain some unanswered questions. I'm a huge fan of the Halloween series and Halloween 6 seemed to be one of the better sequels to me. The mask actually looked alot better than the previous masks used in Halloween 4&5 and the movie had more of the Halloween feeling to it unlike it's previous sequels. I recommend you check out the Producer's Cut as well.
